Identinano AB develops advanced nanosensors capable of detecting the chemical composition and structure of materials. The sensors are suspended in a liquid that can be sprayed onto a surface, where a reader then analyzes and identifies the material’s chemical and structural properties.
The company’s goal is to create a robust sensor system for industrial use that enables more efficient sorting of valuable plastic fractions for reuse, either in new production or as a substitute for virgin plastic.
SDG alignment:
Identinano’s innovation contributes to several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including goal 6,8,9,11,12,13,14.
Phase: Incubator
Impact: Enables circular resource use by identifying and sorting recyclable plastics, reducing landfill waste and dependence on virgin materials
