Guiding surgeons with AR-powered precision in cancer surgery.

Navari Surgical is developing a software-based visualization tool using augmented reality, AR, for minimally invasive cancer surgery. The company’s solution aims to provide surgeons with improved guidance and increased precision when removing cancer tumours in soft-tissue organs, with liver cancer as its first clinical focus area.

Navari originates from a research collaboration between Chalmers University of Technology and Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Following early validation, the concept was further developed through Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship.

GU Ventures has co-invested in the company alongside Vasa Angels, among others, and the company also has shareholders including Almi Invest and Chalmers Ventures.

IMPACT: By giving surgeons clearer visual guidance during complex cancer procedures, Navari Surgical aims to support more precise tumour removal and contribute to better surgical outcomes for patients. Less risk, better recovery and reduced time and cost in hospital.
