Vasa Angels co-invests with GU Ventures in the pre-seed and seed phase to support the capitalisation of new companies in order to strengthen the competitive egde of the Swedish industry. For a limited stake, Vasa Angels I provides its investors excellent opportunities peephole investments (SWE: “titthålsinvestering”) into exciting startups and gives them exposure and risk diversification in many disruptive start-up companies. This will also strengthen the eco-system.
Vasa Angels I is a business angel led investment vehicle, that is a matchmaking platform connected to GU Ventures and owned by 51% of Saminvest. Vasa Angels I benefits from the ecosystem around GU Ventures and its incubator's deal-flow, selection and development processes. The portfolio companies benefits from GU Ventures support from the incubator within areas such as business development, board work, investment readiness coaching and recruitment among many other things.
Co-investment by Saminvest & angels
State-owned Saminvest together with 24 business angels have co-invested in Vasa Angels I. Beyond the investment in Vasa Angels, it also offers selected investors in Vasa Angels I the opportunity to get a coinvestment agreement with Saminvest for direct investments in the portfolio of Vasa Angels.

Vasa Angels I is based on the combined experience that GU Ventures has acquired from its own long-term investment operations in innovative companies, which have been conducted for 30 years, including experience from several own investment companies.
