GU Ventures and Chalmers Ventures presents Venture Square at GoWest 2026

At GoWest 2026, GU Ventures and Chalmers Ventures will jointly present Venture Square – a new collaborative exhibition area dedicated to showcasing the strength, depth, and momentum of Gothenburg’s deep tech ecosystem.

Venture Square brings together innovative startups emerging from leading academic research environments, highlighting how long-term research is transformed into scalable companies through bold entrepreneurship, industrial expertise, and patient capital. The initiative reflects Gothenburg’s unique ability to translate advanced science into real-world impact across sectors such as deep tech, life science, and advanced engineering.

Located in the exhibition area at GoWest 2026, Venture Square will serve as a meeting place for founders, investors, industry partners, and ecosystem stakeholders interested in frontier technologies and research-driven innovation.

Venture Square Pitch Track

As part of the program, Venture Square will also host a dedicated Pitch Track: Deep Tech session. On 28 January at 3:00 PM, selected portfolio companies from GU Ventures and Chalmers Ventures will take the stage to present how cutting-edge technologies move from lab to market – and what it takes to build these companies.

Through Venture Square, GU Ventures and Chalmers Ventures reinforce their shared commitment to strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and capital, and to positioning Gothenburg as a leading Nordic hub for deep tech innovation.
