KAF

KAF is in Swedish short for Pioneering Pathways for Research to Innovation and aims to develop a model for a new way to stimulate the emergence of more research-based innovations that otherwise would not have come to light. It will involve offering researchers, who do not want to commercialize, the option to transfer the rights to their IP and waive their teacher's exemption. In this way, holding companies and their associated universities with their respective innovation offices intend to bring forth more commercially viable business ideas based on research findings. When such a system is in place, it is expected to contribute significantly to enhancing Swedish innovation capabilities.
